  • Banner University Medical Center Volunteering - Volunteering at Banner University Medical Center provides students the opportunity to gain clinical experience by working alongside various medical professionals in a hospital setting. Volunteering at the Banner Hospital on campus allows students to have access to hands-on learning and creates unique experiences . Shadowing physicians, OR observations, participation in clinical trials, and going on rounds with medical professionals can all be done through this volunteer opportunity.   • Campus Health Volunteering - As a volunteer at the U of A's campus health clinic, volunteers are exposed to first-hand patient interactions and can witness what working in a clinic is like on a day-to-day basis. The Campus Health Services at U of A have a variety of departments that you can work in to further gain clinical experience and exposure. Through taking patient vitals, performing various clinical tasks/needs, and shadowing all kinds of medical professionals, volunteers have a unique opportunity to understand what working in a medical clinic is like.   • Habitat for Humanity Volunteer - Habitat for Humanity is an organization that offers help in the crisis of finding affordable homes. Through volunteers and generous donors, Habitat for Humanity is able to build homes from the ground up to offer to the less fortunate population of Tucson. As a volunteer, you have the exciting responsibility of engaging in the physical buildings of these homes! Volunteering will provide a unique experience to help professional construction workers build these homes. Your help as a volunteer makes Habitat for Humanity's mission of building these homes come to life.   • Harmony Hospice Volunteering - Harmony Hospice is a hospice located here in the greater Tucson community. As a Harmony Hospice Volunteer, you will have the rewarding opportunity of visiting patients who are in hospice care to engage in conversations to take their mind of off their current situation. As a volunteer, you are responsible for visiting your patient 1-2 times per week and just being a friendly, familiar face that brings positivity and a sense of relief to the hospice patient.   • Tucson Food Share Volunteer - Tucson Food Share is a volunteer-run project that provides free food and resources to Tucson's less fortunate and homeless population. Through volunteering with Tucson Food Share, you can impact the lives of those who are not fortunate enough to have a constant source of food. Volunteers have the role of helping to distribute food as well as organize donations. All visitors are welcomed to come accept the food donations.   • Z Mansion Volunteer - Z Mansion is an organization located in Tucson that provides free food and meals to the less fortunate and homeless population of Tucson. Every Sunday, starting at 7:30 AM, volunteers are welcomed to come help pass out and distribute food donations to the under privileged population of Tucson. Through volunteering with Z Mansion, students are able to directly impact the lives of Tucson's under privileged population by providing food and support to those in need. Z Mansion is always taking new volunteers, and is well known throughout Tucson, so it is a great opportunity to get involved within the community and give back.
