Sylvia Mioduski is an Adjunct Lecturer and Coordinator of The A Center Internship courses. The majority of her professional career has been at the University of Arizona where she has served as the Director of University College (Colleges of Letters, Arts and Science and now the A Center), Director of the University Learning Center (now The Think Tank), and the Associate Director of Retention with the original Office of Minority Student Affairs.  She was awarded a Master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Immaculate Heart College in Los Angeles. Her professional interests have always/and continue to focus on strategies that successfully promote retention and graduation of undergraduates – hence, her current interest in fostering internship experiences to enhance a student’s academic experience. Her non-UA hours are spent enjoying four young grandchildren, gardening, reading, and tinkering with the idea of travel.
