Alex Romero is an academic advisor at The A Center. He earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology/Mexican American studies and Master of Arts in Higher Education at the University of Arizona. Prior to coming back to the University of Arizona, Alex worked at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, as a Latinx Program Coordinator, and a Fraternity Sorority Life Coordinator. Alex has been involved in many facets of higher education including: first generation support programs, summer bridge programs, residence life, leadership programs, fraternity & sorority life, men of color initiatives and Latinx/Latino programs. He attributes his passion for higher education to programs like TRiO and New Start. In his free time, he enjoys writing, traveling, and spending time with his loved ones.
