Rene Lozano is a Pre-Health Advisor in the Pre-Health Professions Advising Center in The A Center. Rene grew up in the border town of San Luis, AZ, in Yuma County. After attending Arizona Western College, Rene transferred to the University of Arizona's Mel and Enid Zuckerman College of Public Health where he earned a B.S.H.S. in (Community) Health Education. Rene recently earned a Master’s Degree in Administration with an emphasis in Health Sciences from Northern Arizona University. He has previously worked for the Arizona Department of Health Services and the Pima County Health Department in the areas of infectious diseases, epidemiology, tobacco, and chronic diseases. Rene works closely with students who are interested in health careers and helps them pursue their dream of becoming a health care professional. In his free time, Rene enjoys reading, trying new restaurants, binge watching new shows, video games, traveling, and spending time with his energetic dog.
